Planning for your mini session
Mini Sessions are a great way to get caught up on family pictures, but at a discounted price and for a shorter time. This seems to work great for younger kids (and dads).
You have scheduled a Mini Session for Friday, November 16th. Sessions will be held at the Thomley’s Christmas Tree Farm. When you park and walk towards the main entrance. As you walk up, you will see a very tall windmill, keep walking with it to your left until you see a large painted gingerbread man. I will meet you there. It’s up the hill, you can’t miss it! Your session is 20 minutes long.
Sessions are back to back. This means, we need to start yours on time so you get your full 20 minutes! I suggest you leave earlier than you think and plan to be there at least 10 minutes early. It’s a little walk from your car to the shooting location, so plan accordingly. You will may see me with another group. You can just hang out for a few minutes and I will come get you or wave to you when it's time to start yours.
You are welcome to bring any props you like! I have a little chair I bring but you are welcome to bring some things too. Suggestions are:
Special stuffed animal, especially a Christmas-themed toy.
A chair that is special to your family. It could be an antique chair from your childhood.
Christmas ornaments. It gives the kids something they can hold or hang on the trees.
Quilt/Blanket. You may have a blanket that is special to you that you would like to use.
The strongest suggestion I can make is to RELAX! Enjoy the process. It's a crazy day, but it can be a lot of fun! I am so excited to work with you and your family!
